Volunteers are needed and appreciated to help staff the rides. For more information please contact Matt Bach.
Calling all Graduates!! Tell us your stories.
In the next issue of the Holler, we will report on our many fine graduates and their future plans. So we don’t miss anyone, please send your info to Shirley Alexander @ salex1@sbcglobal.net or leave her a voice message at 972-233-5302 to ensure you are included. This way, we can all be proud of them.
Swim Season is here!
Thanks to Sue Bach and the other Pool Committee members for getting the pool up and running this summer. They save all of us a lot of money by doing much of the work themselves.
Meet our new pool attendants, Scott Howell and Andy Morgan. They have already started working and met many of you. Please introduce yourself to Scott and Andy when you are at the pool so they can get to know us. Of course, we are very pleased to have Anja Pfingsten back as Pool Manager.

Got a New Phone Number or email address since September 2002?
If you have updates or changes to the HPHA Handbook/Directory, please email the Santuccis dmlcsantucci@yahoo.com or put a note in our mailbox (15725 Kingscrest). We are in the process of updating the directory. Also, anyone interested in helping with directories (editing, copying, distributing), let us know!
Reminders:
|
Please do not dump rocks, dirt or other debris on Park property. HPHA (that means you) recently had to pay our landscape maintenance workers to remove the rocks that someone dumped in the flower garden.
|
Take Responsibility to Clean Up after your dogs. Letting your neighbors find it by stepping in it is not the preferred approach. The Park provides bags at both ends of the park for disposal.
|
Group Use of the Park - If you plan to host an event in the park that includes 10 or more non-park residents, please contact your Circle Rep or Matt Bach. |
Please Remember:
|
Please drive slowly on the Circle Streets. We don’t have sidewalks and kids are often playing or walking to/from the Park in the street.
|
No golfing in the park. | |
|
No functioning toy or real guns (including paint ball guns), in the park.
|
No motorized vehicles, including carts or scooters.
|
Next bulky trash pickup is June 7-11, (trash should not be set out before Thurs, June 3rd). All trash should be placed in front of your house, not in the common parking areas. |
Thanks to Good Neighbors!
|
Steve Fuller (Mapleview) who builds fences and decks with Austin Ridge, built a fence and hauled away a lot of debris all free of charge for a neighbor in need. (Remember, the City of Dallas will not pickup old fencing material as part of the bulky trash pick-up. Homeowners must arrange to have these materials removed on their own.)
|
Connie Rodgers (Mapleview) and Wally Huntley (Covewood) who spread ant killer on the fire ant mounds in the Park with a new more environment-friendly solution.
|
The Flower Garden crew: Margaret Silva, Rachel Lynch, Wally and Joan Huntley for ongoing beautification efforts of the Park garden.
|
Steve Stockton (Terrace Lawn) for converting HPHA's governing documents to CD format.

Crime Updates:
Recent Nighttime Vandalism and Burglaries on Covewood and Daleport Circles.
During the week of May 9th, burglars stole items from an open garage and broke into vehicles sitting out in driveways at 2 other houses on Covewood. Around that same time, vandals were encountered on Daleport Circle. When the Covewood incidents were reported, the police responded and recovered the stolen bike, as well as took fingerprints.
PLEASE REPORT any incidents or suspicious activity to the police, as they are trying to work with us and catch these criminals. However, they can’t help us if we do not report the incidents. And remember, the Police do not want you to confront suspects yourself!
Crime Watch bulletins also report a recent rash of purse-snatchings at retail and restaurant locations. They a recommend the following precautions…always be aware of your surroundings, don't carry large amounts of cash, avoid walking alone as much as possible (perhaps phoning ahead to your neighbor could be an option), and trust your instincts.
Please remember to keep your garage door down, and do not leave anything of value in your vehicles.
Remember to always…LOCK, TAKE, and HIDE!!
